This cover has been two years in the making. I recorded most of this album in my apartment when I lived in Japan, so it only fits that I covered a Japanese band like Babymetal. This was the hardest song I’ve done as a new artist, but it pushed me so far beyond my limits. Dragonforce wrote this song, and it’s not easy learning those solos when you’re a rhythm guitar player! I don’t even like lead guitar, so doing it by myself was a huge challenge.

I reinterpreted the lyrics in English to capture the original meaning and add my own feel. I love how the final product sounds, and I hope you do too. If you like it, look out for Grimmreaper’s debut album, The Tragedy of Being, debuting March 30, 2021!
